Tennessee picked up a commitment from a top recruiting target on Friday afternoon as the Vols landed Aiken (SC) speedster Braylon Staley, beating out Clemson, North Carolina, and others for the four-star prospect.
The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect will bring big-time speed and athleticism to Knoxville. Staley has won state championships in track and field in both the triple jump and the 200-meter dash.
Staley is commitment No. 15 for the Vols in the 2024 recruiting class and joins Chattanooga (TN) Bradley Central athlete Boo Carter to create a formidable group of weapons for four-star quarterback commit Jake Merklinger.
Coming off a tremendous 2022 season under head coach Josh Heupel, the Vols have carried that over into recruiting with a top 15 class so far. The class ranking has only been improving recently as Staley gave the Vols their fourth four-star commitment during the month of June.
