Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs continue to add to their No. 1 ranked national recruiting class for 2024 with the addition of humongous offensive lineman Nyier Daniels. The 6-foot-8, 370-pounder picked the Bulldogs over more than a dozen other national offers.
Daniels hails from Oradell (N.J.), not exactly a hotbed of UGA recruiting through the years but it didn’t matter when the back-to-back national champions came calling.
UGA has had some big commits in the past, but Daniels may be the biggest in terms of his sheer physical size. The Bulldogs have a pair of fellow 6-foot-8 linemen in the class with Michael Uini and Marcus Harrison, but Daniels may have 40-plus pounds on each of them, if not more.
Daniels is not the only player from the Garden State in this class as he joins defensive tackle Jordan Thomas out of Ramsey (N.J.) who committed to UGA a little bit less than a month ago.
Georgia is now up to 25 commits in its class and the class will certainly continue to grow but the Bulldogs seem to be stocked up on the offensive line with five in the class, but never say never to a sixth as Marques Easley still has a decision to make and the Bulldogs appear to be favorites in that recruitment as well.
