South Carolina added an absolutely enormous piece to its 2024 recruiting class on Tuesday morning as the Gamecocks picked up a verbal commitment from five-star defensive end Dylan Stewart.
The 6-foot-5, 235-pound prospect out of Washington (DC) Friendship Collegiate Academy chose South Carolina over Ohio State, Miami (FL), Georgia, and many, many others giving the Gamecocks their highest ranked commitment in the 2024 class.
Stewart’s commitment came on the heels of a return visit to Columbia where the five-star prospect spent the final weekend of the open period before things moved to a dead period today.
Stewart is rated the No. 10 overall prospect in the 2024 class by the 247composite ranking. South Carolina has also moved up to the No. 16 overall class in the nation with the Gamecocks positioned to signed one of their best classes in recent memory.
