The University of Central Florida has extended head coach Gus Malzahn through the 2027 season, according to multiple reports.
According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, Malzahn will receive a raise under his new contract extension. Malzahn had his salary raised to $4 million on July 1, and his salary will increase to $5.5 million annually through 2026-27.

Malzahn has collected a 21-11 record through two-plus seasons with the Knights. UCF and Malzahn advanced to the Military Bowl last season and won the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl in 2021.
The extension comes during UCF’s first season since its move to the Big 12 Conference. The Knights are 0-2 in conference play thus far.
