Boston College head coach Jeff Hafley is reportedly leaving his post with the Eagles to become the defensive coordinator with the Green Bay Packers.
According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, Hafley will join Matt LaFleur’s staff with the Packers after spending four years as head coach at Boston College.

Hafley will bring with him to Green Bay a wealth of experience as a defensive-minded coach. He has over 17 years of time spent as a mentor on the defensive side of the ball.
Prior to his arrival at Boston College, Hafley was co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach at Ohio State. While there he was a finalist for the Broyles Award given to the best assistant coach.

Hafley also has previous NFL coaching experience. He coached in the professional ranks from 2012-18 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers.
Hafley’s prior college stops are Rutgers, Pitt, Albany and Worcester Polytech.
