Alabama defensive back Kool-Aid McKinstry is drawing attention on the road to the NFL Draft.
It was discovered at the NFL Combine that McKinstry has a Jones fracture in a toe in his foot, according to multiple reports. It kept him from working out in front of NFL executives and scouts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

But with Alabama’s Pro Day last Wednesday, the All-American defender had his chance to shine on a big stage.
McKinstry reportedly ran a 4.47 40-yard dash at the Crimson Tide Pro Day, according to Mike McDaniel of Sports Illustrated.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, McKinstry had surgery Friday and “is expected to be full go for camp” after his Jones fracture.
McKinstry was a First Team All-Southeastern Conference honoree after posting 32 tackles and seven passes defended last season.
