McClain joins a long list of players to transfer from their previous program as the NCAA opened the portal through April 30.

According to ESPN, nine Buffaloes entered the portal Tuesday.

Departing after his first season, McClain played in nine games and started four, recording 13 tackles, six solo, two pass break-ups and a tackle for loss.

McClain was a consensus five-star recruit atop the cornerback rankings by most outlets as part of the class of 2023.
