On the day the portal opened for the next two weeks, Colorado cornerback Cormani McClain reportedly will transfer from the Buffaloes.
According to Tom VanHaaren and Adam Rittenberg of ESPN, McClain “is planning to enter the NCAA transfer portal, where he would join a number of Buffaloes teammates with starting experience.”

McClain joins a long list of players to transfer from their previous program as the NCAA opened the portal through April 30.
According to ESPN, nine Buffaloes entered the portal Tuesday.
Departing after his first season, McClain played in nine games and started four, recording 13 tackles, six solo, two pass break-ups and a tackle for loss.
McClain was a consensus five-star recruit atop the cornerback rankings by most outlets as part of the class of 2023.

Under recently updated NCAA guidelines, transfers can become immediately eligible even when they transfer a second time in their career.
