Army will soon join the American Athletic Conference beginning in 2024-25, according to multiple reports.
According to Ross Dellenger of Yahoo! Sports, AAC presidents voted to accept Army into the conference on Tuesday night.

Army will be a football-only member, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN.
Army has been independent in football since 2005. The move comes after Southern Methodist University announced in September that it would move to the Atlantic Coast Conference beginning on July 1, 2024.
According to Brett McMurphy of Action Network, the annual Army-Navy game will remain on the second Saturday of December and will be played as a nonconference game.
