Former Texas quarterback Maalik Murphy has found his next destination.
After entering the transfer portal following the end of the regular season, Murphy announced on X on Saturday that he will transfer to Duke.
Murphy was a four-star recruit out of the class of 2024 according to Rivals.
He spent two seasons in the Longhorns program before deciding to join the Blue Devils, who named Penn State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz the next head coach following Mike Elko’s departure to Texas A&M.

Murphy made his college debut this season after filling in for an injured Quinn Ewers. Murphy appeared in seven games throwing for 477 yards and three touchdowns.
