The Notre Dame Fighting Irish added to their top-ranked 2025 recruiting class on Saturday evening, landing three-star Wayne (NJ) DePaul Catholic wide receiver Elijah Burress.
The 6-foot, 170-pound prospect is the son of former Michigan State and NFL standout Plaxico Burress. Burress also held offers from Cincinnati, Duke, East Carolina, Temple and others.
The Fighting Irish are off to a torrid start in building their 2025 recruiting class which sits atop the 247Sports composite team rankings. Marcus Freeman’s bunch have already landed commitments from 14 prospects.
Burress hauled in 25 receptions for 434 yards and five touchdowns as a junior at DePaul Catholic, one of the top programs in the state of New Jersey.
