INDIANAPOLIS — Clemson edge rusher Xavier Thomas expects to make an impact at the 2024 NFL Combine and show teams that he has the tools to be more versatile.
Thomas led Clemson with 21 quarterback pressures last season and brought home 28 tackles, four for loss and three sacks. He started 11 of the 12 games he played in 2023.
The sixth-year served a tremendous leadership role on and off the field while at Clemson. He’s an advocate for mental health, and Thomas embodies the story of perseverance.
Thomas listed a few of the things he believes he’s among the best at doing, and when he takes the field Thursday for his on-field workout and measurements, he said he’s ready to bring more to the table.
“Rushing the passer on third down and things like that,” Thomas told the media on Wednesday afternoon. “I plan on putting a lot of things on display tomorrow to show teams that I can really play outside linebacker in regards to playing in space and really showing my athletic ability.”
