INDIANAPOLIS — Notre Dame linebacker Marist Liufau knows the meaning of a tough football player.
Liufau embodied the mold during his fifth season in 2023. He started in all 12 games he played and totaled 44 tackles, six for loss and three sacks.
Liufau said the NFL Combine so far has been about understanding himself and football more than he ever has. The Kalihi, Hawaii, native could be a vital addition to an NFL team in the upcoming April draft.
“Just learning the game a little more,” Liufau told the media on Wednesday afternoon. “Learning where I need to be, where I need to be on the defense, how I can help the team. Things like that.”
