INDIANAPOLIS — Oregon State wide receiver Anthony Gould is awaiting his next football opportunity.
At the 99th East-West Shrine Bowl in Frisco, Texas, in February, Gould had the longest play of the game with an 80-yard punt return touchdown that served as the East team’s only touchdown.
Gould has made a name for himself on special teams. As a receiver, the former Beaver caught 1,360 yards and six touchdowns, including a career-high 718 yards last season.
Gould said at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis that he wants his past play to speak for itself.
“Just go in there and show my character: an all-around football player,” Gould told the media on Friday. “I had a good process so far, the East-West (Shrine Bowl) all-star game, so just keep building on that and just being able to give the scouts a reason to cut up my tape. That’s probably the biggest thing I’ve wanted to show so far.”
