Trotter is a Clemson legacy player, and his father Jeremiah Trotter Sr. spent more than a decade in the NFL where he earned four Pro Bowl appearances.

Jeremiah Trotter Jr. is just as capable of a player as his father. He earned All-America status in each of the past two seasons, becoming the first Clemson linebacker to do so since Keith Adams in 1999-2000.

At the NFL Combine Thursday, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. will get a chance to showcase the skill set that is prevalent in his family.

“I feel I have a lot of capability of being a three-down linebacker,” Trotter told the media on Wednesday afternoon. “I have a wide variety of talent and a lot of versatility in my game. A lot of linebackers in this draft class I tip my hat up to. They’re great linebackers, they’re great players, and guys I also watched and really respect their game.”
