<p>UConn is reportedly promoting offensive line coach Gordon Sammis to offensive coordinator.</p>



<p><a href="https://x.com/PeteThamel/status/1768714418072789503?s=20">According to Pete Thamel of ESPN</a>, the Huskies will elevate Sammis after two seasons as O-line coach and one as run-game coordinator.</p>

<p>Sammis arrived at UConn prior to the 2022 season. After his first year, the Huskies averaged 191 rushing yards per game to place No. 33 in college football.</p>



<p>He added to his duties the role of run game coordinator before the 2023 season. UConn ran for an average of 136.6 yards per game.</p>

<p>Sammis also has experience coaching at William &amp; Mary where he spent the 2019-21 seasons. Additionally, Sammis has stops at Lafayette College, Virginia Military Institute and Columbia University.</p>



<p>Sammis will succeed former offensive coordinator Nick Charlton. Charlton took an offensive assistant/run-game specialist position with the Cleveland Browns <a href="https://x.com/PeteThamel/status/1767965004257456488?s=20">according to ESPN</a>.</p>
