Ohio State climbs to No. 4, Fresno State enters latest AP Top 25 Poll

Toughness is the theme of this past weekend of college football.

Ohio State earned a last-second win over Notre Dame on Saturday night, and Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day emphasized “toughness” as what willed the team to gain the final yard necessary to win 17-14.

The Buckeyes climbed two spots to No. 4 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll on Sunday. They leapt over Florida State, which fell to No. 5 after defeating Clemson 31-24 in overtime.

Penn State and Washington each made jumps up one place in the poll to Nos. 6 and 7, respectively. Both the Nittany Lions and Huskies are 4-0, and both are led by premier passing games of Penn State’s Drew Allar and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr.

Fresno State also entered the poll at No. 25. The Bulldogs have a 13-game winning streak that is the second-longest in the country behind No. 1 Georgia’s current 21-game win streak.
