Watch: Michigan’s Donovan Edwards scores 41-yard TD to start CFP National Championship

The College Football Playoff National Championship began with a bang.

On the game-opening drive, No. 1 Michigan scored first thanks to a 41-yard touchdown run by running back Donovan Edwards.

Edwards ran left and broke through several defenders before finding green grass. It’s his fourth rushing touchdown of the season.

Michigan now leads No. 2 Washington with 10:14 left in the first quarter of the title game.
