All-American defensive back Caleb Downs has committed to Ohio State, according to multiple reports.
According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, Downs made the decision to become a Buckeye on Friday. He led Alabama last season with 107 tackles as a true freshman.

Downs came into college football as a five-star recruit as part of the class of 2023.
He lived up to the hype and garnered the starting sot at strong safety, becoming the first Crimson Tide true freshman to lead the team in tackles since at least 1970.
Downs was named Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year and received Freshman All-America honors from the Football Writers Association of America.

Downs also took home second team All-America recognition from The Associated Press and The Sporting News.
Downs also piled in 3.5 tackles for loss loss, three pass break-ups, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and forced fumble.
