The Georgia Bulldogs started out their 2026 recruiting class in just about the best way imaginable, landing five-star Nashville (Tenn.) Christian Academy quarterback Jared Curtis on Saturday afternoon.

Curtis, considered by many to the be the top quarterback prospect in the 2026 class, chose the Dawgs over Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M, among many others.

The commitment gives Georgia a foundational piece to build around in the class as Curtis possesses immense arm talent to go along with plus-level athleticism for the quarterback position.

Curtis is not only considered by many to be the top signal caller in the class, but 247Sports has Curtis rated as its No. 1 overall prospect.

A starter since his freshman season, Curtis has amassed 4,835 yards and 52 passing touchdowns already in his high school career. He has also added 1,026 rushing yards and 20 more scores on the ground.

One of the most entertaining interviews at Wednesday’s NFL Combine Media Session was that of Texas A&M defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson. The big-time interior presence delivered perhaps the quote of the day on why a team should draft him.

“I love football,” he started. “I’d play this shit for free but they’re paying. So I’ll take it.”

Luckily for Jackson, he won’t have to play for free as some NFL team will be giving him a nice paycheck in a few short months. But football clearly isn’t just a means to an end for Jackson who truly eats, breathes, and sleeps the game.

“This is the sport I love since I was four years old,” he said. “So why change now? Why change the purpose of (playing football) now?.”

Catch more of a great interview from Jackson below as we continue our coverage of the NFL Combine in Indianapolis:

Jackson wrapped up his career at Texas A&M with 7.5 sacks.

INDIANAPOLIS — Alabama defensive lineman Justin Eboigbe is hoping to build off a strong senior season and the lessons learned from legendary coach Nick Saban as he embarks on a career in the NFL.

The Crimson Tide standout met with the media on Wednesday at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis and says he will take a lot with him from his Alabama career to apply to his time in professional football.

“Each day you can get better or worse but you are never gonna stay the same,” Eboigbe recalls when asked about the best advice he received from Saban at Alabama.

Eboigbe has overcome a lot to get where he is now and the adversity he has faced on and off the field have made him stronger.

“Anytime you go through adversity it teaches you who you are,” he said. “I had lost my brother as well during (2022). It made me more appreciative of the things in life. Everyone says they will come back better after an injury but I wanted to put actions behind the words. I wanted to be the leader for the guys in the defensive line room. The injury showed me things about myself self that I didn’t know.”

Clemson added a massive piece to its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday afternoon, picking up a verbal commitment from Buford (Ga.) offensive tackle Brayden Jacobs. The 6-foot-6, 310-pound prospect committed to the Tigers over Alabama, South Carolina, and many others to become commitment No. 9 for Clemson in the 2025 class.

It has been a good week for Clemson on the recruiting trail, previously landing four-star defensive end Ari Watford. The Tigers hosted an elite Junior Day recruiting event this weekend and the dividends are already paying off.

Another top Tigers offensive tackle target, nation’s No. 1 lineman David Sanders Jr. was also on campus this weekend as Clemson continues to be a top contender for the Charlotte (NC) Providence Day star.

Jacobs is the son of former Auburn running back Brandon Jacobs who had an outstanding NFL career mostly with the New York Giants.
